In order to make the best decisions regarding didactic, educational, alimentary choices along with focusing on the protection of the psycho-physical well-being of children, we decided to refer to a team of professionals and experts in different areas:
The members of the Committee will play an active role in defining the technical choices of IAIA Outdoor Education and will attend some of the collective meetings with parents organized through the year, in which there will be the chance to deeply address specific topics concerning the relative spheres of competence and organizing thematic focuses.
For those families who are interested, it is possible to request a private meeting by appointment.
Food choices of Iaia Outdoor Education will be carefully guided by Dr. Costanza Pira, who has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin and is currently specializing in Food Sciences and Clinical Nutrition.
Dr. Pira is also co-founder of the innovative start up “Fooderapy”, a company specialized in the creation of healthy dishes designed to meet the nutritional needs of the individual without sacrificing taste. The company, registered (CE) 852/2004 for the hygiene of food products, will furnish our school with healthy and tasty foods that will make up the balanced diet of Iaia Outdoor Education students.
Eating is learning.
To stay healthy, now and in the future.
To respect others and their food culture.
To explore new tastes discovering the seasons.
To value food and the work of those who prepared it.
Educational choices will be wisely inspired and guided by the competences of Paola Tonelli, an experienced trainer of teachers throughout the national territory.
From 1996 to 2001 she has projected, organized and coordinated the Documentation Center for primary schools of the Municipality of Rome. From 2001 to 2006 she has worked at the CNR, collaborating on the International Project of Prof. Francesco Tonucci “ROME CITY OF CHILDREN” and, afterwards, she collaborated with the Municipality of Rome, actively dealing with organizing numerous courses on educational documentation. Paola Tonelli published 16 texts, 4 publications didactic-oriented and 100 articles that have appeared in major national magazines in the childhood sector.
… if our society strongly and dangerously sacrifices the autonomy of little children, who have less and less space for their games and their initiatives, school should seriously take charge of this problem whose consequences might result severe for the purpose of a balanced development and for achieving quality learning.
Psychological area is entrusted to the competences of Dr. Alexandra Ploederl, who has a degree in developmental psychology of childhood at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan and specialized at the PSIBA Institute of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy in Milan.
Dr. Ploederl holds a Master in Sport Psychology and has been collaborating for three years as a sports psychologist at the Garlenda Golf Club and the Liguria Golf Federation. She has worked as a psychologist at a school desk and collaborated with the Giannina Gaslini Hospital of Genoa in dealing with eating disorders at the neuropsychiatry department and with a multi-specialist practice in Rivoli.
She is currently collaborating with Blu Acqua company in Turin and is the Clinical Area Referent of Emozioni Giocate Onlus.
The area that concerns environmental and territorial knowledge will be handled by the competences of Dr. Federica Bon, a graduate in Public, Political, Business and Advertising Communication at the University of Turin.
Dr. Bon has obtained the “Vegetable Future” Master at the University of Florence, thereby deepening her knowledge on plants, social innovation and plant inspiration.
The medical-pediatric area is entrusted to the skills of Dr. Claudio Fabris, a degree in Medicine at the University of Genoa, with subsequent specializations in Pediatrics, Neonatology and Medical Genetics.
Dr. Fabris is full professor of Neonatology at the University of Turin and Director of the “Center for Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care” at the S. Anna Hospital in Turin, whose studies about nutrition are carried out in collaboration with the CNR.
Dr. Fabris is also author of more than 400 scientific publications.
